The Arts are a vital part of a Fairmont education. Our goal is to tap into and grow the creativity which exists within each student.
Fairmont has a place for you in the Arts! Take center stage in a musical or develop skills in stagecraft; compose an original song or sing one in a choir; draw an abstract or take a seat at the potting wheel; choreograph a dance or perform one in a competition.
Our Arts programs help students capture the power of their creativity while they begin to pursue specific areas of interest. They are able to shine in their own spotlight through music, theatre, dance, and visual arts classes and co-curricular activities.
Fairmont Preparatory Academy has achieved remarkable recognition across multiple artistic disciplines. The school’s filmmakers won Best Acting Performance at the ISP Filmmaker Awards for their film “The Opportunity Section,” while student Evelyn T. became the first Fairmont Prep student to be spotlit by the ISP Artists Programme for her fine arts painting. The school’s talent has been further recognized by the Orange County Register’s Artist of the Year awards, with Bendicio G. named as a finalist in Film + TV and later achieving semifinalist status. Multiple students earned nominations across various categories, including Austin B., Isabella P., Amrita G., Bendicio G., and Valentino K. in Film + Television; Kathy F., Iris J., Terry K., Lena K., Amanda L., Jaydee M., Anika N., Isabella P., Evelyn T., Magnolia W., and Mona Z. in Fine Arts; Ethan H. and Louis L. in Instrumental Music; Gaston S. in Media Arts; Valentino K., Kayla P., Isabella P., Ethan R., Caitlyn T., and Pele R. in Theater; and Caitlyn T. in Vocal Music. Additionally, Bernard Zhang won the gold medal at the California Music Educators Association 2025 State Solo & Ensemble Festival, demonstrating the breadth and excellence of Fairmont’s arts programs across film, visual arts, music, and theater.

Visual Arts
Fairmont students gain vast experience in the visual arts, led by talented art teachers and practitioners. They are empowered to go beyond their comfort zone and take risks in their creative efforts, challenged to see the world in new ways through art, and taught to approach problem-solving through the lens of creativity.
Performing Arts
From dramatic theatre to comedy and improvisation; from choir to musicals; from orchestra to jazz band, Fairmont offers the perfect stage to engage in the performing arts. We aspire to nurture the novice and hone the talents and skills of the experienced performer — helping each student discover his or her unique creative voice.
