Academic Assistance
Our academic assistance programs are designed to empower, encourage, and enhance student achievement and success.
Assist Program
Fairmont students work at least one year ahead of their grade level. Academic Student Services for Intervention & Support Techniques (ASSIST) provides extra support to those who need additional support in Language Arts in order to operate at this accelerated pace. This “pull out” program is open to students in JK – 5th grade at our Anaheim Hills, Historic Anaheim, and North Tustin campuses, and to 6th – 12th grade students at the San Juan Capistrano campus.
Academic Learning Assistance (ALA) Program
Offered at Fairmont San Juan Capistrano, ALA serves students in elementary school JK-5th grade by providing targeted intervention.
The program works on building students’ reading, comprehension, writing, and math skills depending on a student’s area of need. The program uses curricula from Journeys and Reading A-Z that focus on reading intervention and writing, as well as focusMATH, an intensive K-6 math intervention program. Students also work on building social and emotional as well as problem-solving skills.
