Flex Period
Students choose how to use this block at the end of the day - get help from teachers, catch up on assignments, dive deeper into course material, or join a club. They build time management skills, plan, prioritize, and take charge of their learning, demonstrating better grades and less stress.
Diversity & cultural celebration
Fairmont students don’t just learn about diversity, they live it every day. As one of Orange County’s few non-religious private schools, our community is a vibrant mix of backgrounds, languages, and traditions. Students lead the way in celebrating culture, joining in campus-wide events, holiday showcases, and community gatherings that bring everyone together. The Fairmont Parent Association steps up, spotlighting customs, foods, art, and music from around the world, so students experience and appreciate what makes each culture unique.
Our English Language Learners (ELL) get targeted support through one of Orange County’s longest-running standalone language programs. Expert teachers challenge and support them, making sure every student gets the immersion and encouragement needed to thrive.
At our international school in Anaheim, students benefit from adapted coursework that ensures that both English language fluency and academic milestones are reached.
Additional language coursework and ongoing monitoring and assessments from our team, ensure learners reach the language proficiency needed to thrive at The Prep and in their desired college.
ELL students participate in every aspect of school life, events, extra-curricular clubs, specialty programs, as they're a recognized, integral, and valued part of our vibrant community.
International students progress through classes that are a blend of academic coursework and language support.Curriculum and instruction are modified to meet the needs of language learners while still providing them with the academic content needed to better prepare them for collegiate courses in the future. Adapted classes are specialty classes in English, Science, and History.
Through the International Foundation Center, students build English proficiency through specialized language support coursework and earn the credit-bearing courses needed for graduation. Placement in grade-level English and a corresponding Writing & Language support class is based on proficiency. Within the first three weeks of each semester, learners can move up a language support level by submitting an official TOEFL iBT score report.
Students in our language support program don’t just join, they lead. They jump into clubs, play sports, get involved in after-school activities, and dive into specialty programs including Speech and Debate.Every learner gets backed by a dedicated team, making sure integration is smooth and success stands out. International students bring fresh perspectives, spark curiosity, and drive innovation, shaping Fairmont’s diverse community every day.
At Fairmont, social-emotional learning complements our academic programs by supporting the development of confident, well-rounded learners.
