Fairmont Prep Shadow Days
Every student at our private school in Anaheim steps into a space where learning is personal, purposeful, and bold. Teachers are trained in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), so students grow in confidence, spark curiosity, and build real skills for life. Â
We welcome every learner and celebrate what makes each student unique. Our language support program is one of the longest-running in the region, helping international students achieve fluency and excel in every subject.
Every student benefits from an on-staff Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who works side by side with parents, teachers, campus directors and academic counselors to support their needs.Â
Learners lead their journey, setting goals and tackling obstacles with expert guidance. Our counselors listen, ask the right questions, and help learners build a growth mindset that’s woven into daily school life.
Our mental health counselors create a safe space where students talk openly, build coping skills and grow in confidence. Whether it’s a one-to-one session, group activity or just a chat during break, learners always find comfort, compassion, and support. Â
Families and teachers join forces with counselors, and workshops on anxiety, depression, and bullying help students and parents spot issues early and build resilience.Â

Fairmont students don’t just keep pace, they move ahead. Every learner works at least a year above their grade level, challenging themselves in every lesson. For those who need extra support in Language Arts, our Academic Student Services for Intervention & Support Techniques (ASSIST) steps in. Â
This targeted pull out program is open to students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5, giving them the focused help they need to thrive in an accelerated environment.Â
Fairmont students don’t just learn about diversity, they live it every day. As one of Orange County’s few non-religious private schools, our community is a vibrant mix of backgrounds, languages and traditions. Students lead the way in celebrating culture, joining in campus-wide events, holiday showcases and community gatherings that bring everyone together. Â
The Fairmont Parent Association steps up, spotlighting customs, foods, art and music from around the world, so students experience and appreciate what makes each culture unique.
International students learning English get targeted support through one of Orange County’s longest-running language programs. Expert teachers challenge and support them, making sure every student gets the immersion and encouragement needed to thrive.
Elementary students benefit from personalized interventions to fast-track English fluency through dedicated 1:1 and group pull-out sessions.
Based on their proficiency, Middle School students either access intensive targeted support or intermediate interventions, ensuring they progress based on their individual achievements.
ELL students are an integral part of our community and participate fully in events, extra-curricular activities, and specialty programs – accelerating their English confidence.
International ASSIST is designed for young English Language Learners who get personalized support, one-to-one and small group sessions, outside the regular classroom. Each learner is assessed at the start and end of the year, so we know exactly where they stand and what they need. Â
Based on these assessments, students receive one to three hours of targeted instruction each week, helping them build fluency fast.
Middle School English language learners receive targeted support through two distinct pathways. Intensive support offers a semi-sheltered program, with half of courses tailored for language development and half integrated with mainstream classes. Intermediate support provides students with one additional English language class alongside regular coursework. Â
Placement is based on assessment at the start of the year, ensuring each learner receives instruction matched to their needs.Â
Students enrolled in language support program step right into every part of school life. They join clubs, play sports, take part in after-school activities and dive into specialty programs including Speech and Debate. A dedicated team backs every learner, making sure integration is seamless and success is visible. Â
The impact speaks for itself: students from abroad bring fresh perspectives, spark curiosity and drive innovation across Fairmont’s diverse community.Â
Social Emotional Learning is a vital part of what we do at Fairmont because it develops the student all around and sets them up to be more successful academically.
