Fairmont Prep Shadow Days
At Fairmont Historic Anaheim, students from around the world connect and share experiences, building confidence as they communicate across languages and cultures.Spanish instruction starts in Elementary, giving students a strong foundation, while Chinese is introduced in Middle School to expand their global perspective. International students benefit from dedicated English learning support, so everyone can join in, get curious and grow together.

Students embark on an exciting multilingual learning from Preschool to Middle School, becoming confident and growing communicators in three world languages.
English
In Preschool, students get curious about language, mastering basic sentence structure and punctuation. Â As they move up, students step into writing multi-paragraph stories, informative reports, and persuasive essays, growing in clarity, detail, and purpose every year. By Grade 5, students lead classroom discussions and share ideas that matter, showing real confidence in their writing and speaking. Â Middle School students keep building on these skills, tackling more complex grammar and mechanics, and expressing themselves with impact. Â
Spanish
Starting in Elementary School, learners sing, play and role-play, connecting with Spanish customs, traditions and celebrations. As they move up, they tackle grammar, vocabulary and real conversations. In Grade 6, students experience a semester of Spanish, while by Grade 7, they can choose Spanish as their focus and build skills over two years, preparing to step into Spanish 2 as high school freshmen.
Chinese (Mandarin)
Students first approach Mandarin in Middle School, enjoying a full semester dedicated to its basics in Grade 6. Â From Grade 7, they can select Mandarin as their second language of learning, building real skills in grammar, vocabulary and conversation over two years and preparing to step into Mandarin 2 as high school freshmen.
Through a rich mix of language experiences, students build their linguistic skills, getting ready to become communicators without borders.
Through International School Partnerships' International Opportunities program, our students immerse themselves in global opportunities an meet with peers from all over the world, practicing language skills with confidence.
International students benefit from differentiated learning designed by a specialized team so they can fast-track English fluency and fully immerse in learning and school life.
We get to learn Spanish and Chinese when we're in middle school. Right now I'm taking Spanish and I love learning about the cultures of the many different countries where Spanish is spoken.
