At Fairmont Historic Anaheim, students jump in, lead teams, and cheer each other on, whether they're scoring on the field, performing on stage, or creating in the studio. They step up for international ILOS adventures, dive into field trips, and take charge in leadership roles.

In this brand new programme you will have the opportunity to watch your child grow their creative confidence as they dive into an enriching art framework exclusively designed by the ILOS team for students and teachers of ISP Artists. This framework will allow students to explore their creativity as they familiarise themselves with different techniques, mediums and themes. Additionally, students will participate in two live-streamed sessions facilitated by experts in the field who will support the students in developing their creative confidence.

ISP Changemakers, formerly known as ISP Futures, provides schools with tools and methodologies for developing projects focused on social impact. This will enable communities to take action to address strategic issues relevant to their group and their future.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge: Gain a better understanding of the different issues and opportunities that influence the well-being of the community.
Skills: Be able to apply different frameworks and methodologies to create projects with social impact. Raise awareness and take action on environmental issues among ISP staff, students, and school communities in general.

Confidence: Increase confidence in the impact that actions have on creating sustainable change in the school community.
Being a part of this program has helped me in things I didn't imagine it would. Because of ISP, I haven't just learned about the environment and how to be more eco-friendly, but I have also earned new friends (..) It even motivated me to come to school doing this everyday (...) I didn't imagine I would love plants and taking care of the environment like this.

ISP Chess Masters
Programme highlights
ISP Chess Masters grows students’ skills and teamwork by connecting them with other ISP students to play fast chess in online and in-person tournaments in local, regional and global contexts.

I love chess and having the opportunity to get better at it through tournaments is simply amazing. You can share ideas about moves and your style of playing at the same time as playing, you can play with people you don't know and all of that with no material needed, just a computer.

ISP Cultural Exchange
ISP Cultural Exchange encourages reciprocal exchange across regions where ISP schools are located. The aim is to offer students the opportunity to experience a culture different from their own through a homestay and attending another ISP school for a month.

ISP Scientists
ISP Scientists provides a unique opportunity for students to become citizen scientists and contribute to real-world STEM research projects like mapping the journey of missing plastic waste or tracking their habits to measure their environmental impact.

ISP Filmmakers
ISP Filmmakers is a multi-disciplinary project in which students learn the importance of collaboration in achieving the common goal of producing a film, its trailer and poster. It provides insights into career pathways in film and media.

This programme really improves your understanding of filmmaking, planning, scenes shots and will really help you on your application later on for university. It also teaches you to work together on camera shots and editing that for sure will be needed in the future.

Historic Anaheim has a long tradition of excellence in Academic Pentathlon, most recently earning 1st place in the state for 7th grade and 2nd place for 8th grade in 2025.
This rigorous, multidisciplinary competition challenges students in literature, math, science, social studies, and fine arts, and gives them meaningful opportunities to grow both as individual scholars and as collaborative team members.
For Grade 3
Students explore the fascinating world of sharks, discovering how these magnificent predators adapt, what they eat, and why they matter. Hands-on exhibits and interactive programs spark curiosity, empathy, and a sense of responsibility for protecting our oceans.
Every visit inspires students to ask questions, share discoveries, and see themselves as stewards of the planet’s marine life.
Students in Middle School step up and lead as part of the Associated Student Body (ASB), taking on roles like President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Each homeroom elects two representatives, so every voice gets heard.
To stay in leadership, students keep their GPA at 2.5 or higher, because leading by example matters. ASB leaders shape school culture, drive real change and inspire their peers every day.

In Grade 4, students bring California history to life by creating detailed dioramas that depict key moments, cultures, and environments from the state’s past.

Students take on Catalina Island with energy and confidence. This three-day adventure is more than just camp, it's a launchpad for growth. Students kayak in the Pacific, hike mountain trails, and tackle ropes courses, all while building resilience and independence away from home.
Marine labs turn curiosity into discovery as students get hands-on with ocean science. Every challenge is a chance to step out of their comfort zone, connect with friends, and become the best version of themselves.
For Grades K - 5
Sharpen strategic thinking and concentration by learning chess fundamentals, tactics, and strategies. Challenge opponents in friendly matches, discover new moves, and practice sportsmanship.

Students at Fairmont Historic Anaheim step up and lead real change through community service all year long. With the Fairmont Parent Association, students organize Operation Candy, collecting treats and writing letters for soldiers away from home, and K9 Penny Wars, raising funds for retired Anaheim police dogs.
During the holidays, students drive Thanksgiving food and toy drives, making sure local families and children of armed service members feel supported.
Middle schoolers take it further, leading their own service projects via OC Action Partnership and joining trips to pack food boxes for families in need across Orange County.
Families and students explore and celebrate together the rich cultures and traditions that shape our world. Supported by the Fairmont Parent Association (FPA) our whole school community celebrates:
Children in Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten get curious and connect with nature through hands-on farm exploration.
Junior Kindergarteners visit Centennial Farms, where they meet animals, explore fruit and vegetable gardens, and discover the Millenium Barn. Kindergarteners head to Tanaka Farms, picking their own fresh vegetables and searching for the perfect pumpkin.
Every trip is a chance for students to learn where food comes from, ask questions about the natural world, and build confidence outdoors
The Parent Association at Fairmont Historic Anaheim is all about connection, support and celebration. Parents come together to make every year memorable for students, organising family events, championing teachers and staff, and helping fund innovative projects that spark curiosity and confidence on campus.
Monthly meetings are open to all, so whether you want to get involved, share ideas or just stay in the loop, you’re always welcome. From cultural celebrations to community-building activities, families shape the spirit of Fairmont together.

As the culminating project of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme, the PYP Exhibition invites fifth graders to explore real-world issues that matter to them through research, inquiry, and collaboration.
Students work in small groups to develop meaningful projects and present their findings to the school community, demonstrating the skills and global-minded perspectives they’ve built throughout their IB journey.

Top projects from this campus-wide event are advanced to the Orange County Science & Engineering Fair (OCSEF) and the California Science & Engineering Fair (CSEF), where our students regularly earn recognition for their creativity and scientific rigor.
Annually, Middle School students utilize the public speaking skills they build throughout their Fairmont experience and students showcase their public speaking skills through prepared and impromptu speeches.

Students hop on the train to San Diego and turn a year of animal studies into real-world adventure at the San Diego Zoo. Students experience the magic of live theater every year, with trips tailored to each grade. Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students enjoy beloved classics like "Winnie the Pooh" and "Cat in the Hat."
First and second graders see favorites such as "Miss Nelson is Missing," "Dot, Dot, Dot," and "Pete the Cat." Third graders are inspired by productions like "Charlotte's Web," "James & the Giant Peach," and "Dino-light."
Fourth and fifth graders attend shows including "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," "Jazzy Ash and the Leaping Li," "The Pa'akai We Bring," and "The Sound of Music."
Participate in athletics, whether competing in the Developmental Sports League (G rades 4 – 6) or advancing to Tri-Way Athletics in Middle School.

For Grade 2
Students become scientists as they explore the Wild Wetlands at the Muth Interpretive Center in Upper Newport Bay. They investigate the diversity of birds, insects, and plants in a coastal wetland ecosystem, conducting real field surveys and hands-on research.
Learners discuss how biodiversity supports a healthy ecosystem and learn to observe, record, and analyze data like true field scientists
Boost coordination and communication as students serve, set, and spike.
Experience the energy of teamwork, sharpen reflexes, and grow in confidence through spirited rallies and shared achievements.
Design custom robots to navigate Earth’s biomes, from rainforests to deserts. Use critical thinking and the scientific method to solve group challenges. Construct robots to traverse jungle canopies and harsh terrain, then celebrate innovation and teamwork in the Robot Rally.

I feel Fairmont set that foundation, which I obviously carry to this day. Hence we elected to send our kids there as well because I would believe once that foundation is set, you can't unset it. I feel that I'm very grateful for my parents for sending sending me there.

Students start and end their day in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. The Extended Day Program runs Monday to Friday, from 7:30am until school begins and from dismissal until 5:30pm. Busy families can enjoy a flexible schedule with both full-year and daily drop-in options.
