Message from our Head of SchoolDear Fairmont Families,What a week! We had an absolute blast rolling out the red carpet for Rock’n Reenrollment, and North Tustin wasrockingfrom the moment the first chord was struck. Our faculty and staff brought their A-game, fully committing to the vibe by channeling their inner hair-band alter egos—and yes, the glam was strong. We kicked things off on Monday with a high-energy assembly that introduced students to the theme in true rock-star fashion. Enter our very own band, Van Wilder, backed by the incredible talent of our Middle School School of Rock musicians. They set the stage on fire with the world premiere of their hit single,“Back Where I Belong,”and the crowd loved every minute of it. During the assembly, we also unveiled all the exciting Rock’n Reenrollment surprises ahead—including an amazing lineup of spirit assemblies, prizes, and the big Rock Out scheduled for March 20th.And the hits just kept coming! We were absolutelywowedby Mrs. Choi’s class as they took center stage in honor of Women in Sports Month. Each student spoke on the mic to share fascinating facts about famous female athletes who have shattered records, broken barriers, and changed the game. It was inspiring, empowering, and a total crowd-pleaser—proof that strong voices and strong women always deserve the spotlight. Just when we thought it couldn’t get better—cue the Drone Mic Drop—which swooped in to deliver our first Rock’n Reenrollment winner in epic fashion. This week it was Derya in second grade. And to close out Flag Salute, Van Wilder absolutelyshut the show downwith his epic performance of “Back Where I Belong.” The crowd was on its feet, the amps were buzzing, and the vibe was pure rockstar magic. We’re already looking forward to his weekly performances at Flag Salute—this may be the start of a legendary residency. Word on the street? The Reenrollment Wrangler and Van Weezy might just be dropping in for a song or two. Stay tuned…you never know who might grab the mic next.We closed out the week on Friday with our first spirit competition, a fan favorite—the Blowup Costume Dance Off. Our elementary teachers absolutely brought the moves, and our middle school students rose to the challenge in an energetic face-off that had the crowd cheering. It was a total blast, and this is just the beginning—there’s plenty more rocking and rolling in the weeks ahead. If you need any support with reenrollment, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Ms. Dominique at dbongcayao@fairmontschools.com. She’s ready to help you get backstage and all set.Have a fantastic weekend, and keep on rockin’.Warmly,Dr. Jennifer MaanThis Week at North Tustin
