Where confidence grows
What's happening
Every student at Fairmont North Tustin steps into a place where learning is active, focused and adventurous. Students get the support they need to grow - academically, socially and emotionally. Teachers spark curiosity and nurture confidence through Social-Emotional Learning, so students step up, ask questions and gain practical skills for life.
We welcome every learner and celebrate what makes each student unique. Our language support programme is one of the longest-running in the region, helping international students master English and thrive in every subject.
At our private school in Santa Ana, students benefit from an on-site Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works closely with parents, teachers, campus directors and academic counsellors to meet every need.
Learners take charge of their journey, setting goals and overcoming challenges with expert guidance. Our counsellors listen, ask thoughtful questions and help students build a growth mindset that’s part of everyday school life.
Our mental health counsellors create a safe space where students speak openly, develop coping strategies and grow in confidence. Whether it’s a one-to-one session, group activity or a quick chat at break, learners always find comfort, compassion and support.
Families and teachers team up with counsellors, and workshops on anxiety, depression and bullying help students and parents spot issues early and build resilience.
Every Middle Schooler shapes their own Flex Period - working on assignments, connecting one-on-one with teachers, chatting with counsellors or taking time to recharge.
It’s a space where students build confidence, make smart choices, manage their time well and develop strong relationships, fuelling their drive to learn and preparing them for future success.
Fairmont students don’t just keep up - they move ahead. Every learner works at least a year above their grade level, challenging themselves in every lesson. For those who need extra support in Language Arts, our Academic Student Services for Intervention & Support Techniques (ASSIST) steps in.
This targeted pull-out programme is open to students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5, giving them the focused help they need to thrive in an accelerated environment.
Fairmont Schools students don’t just learn about diversity - they live it every day. As one of Orange County’s few non-religious private schools, our community is a vibrant mix of backgrounds, languages and traditions. Students lead the way in celebrating culture, joining campus-wide events, holiday showcases and community gatherings that bring everyone together.
The Fairmont Parent Association steps up, spotlighting customs, food, art and music from around the world, so students experience and appreciate what makes each culture unique.
Students who are learning English get focused help through one of Orange County’s longest-running language programmes. Expert teachers challenge and support every learner, making sure students get the immersion and encouragement they need to grow in confidence and fluency.
A personalized pull-out program for Elementary ELLs, offering 1–3 hours per week of language instruction, proficiency development, and confidence-building.
Targeted English support for middle school ELLs through semi-sheltered or additional classes, with biannual progress checks and tailored instruction based on skill development.
Full participation in school life for ELLs, including clubs, sports, and activities, within a supportive and inclusive community.
International ASSIST is a focused support program created specifically for elementary students learning English as an additional language. Learners are evaluated at the beginning, middle, and end of each school year so that instruction can adapt to their changing proficiency levels.
They receive one to three hours of individualized or small-group teaching each week from dedicated instructors. Most students complete the two-year program with success, transitioning confidently into mainstream classes and continuing to grow academically and personally within a caring, encouraging environment.
At our Middle school in Santa Ana, students enhance their English proficiency through two customized pathways. The Intensive Support option offers a semi-sheltered model, combining dedicated language-development classes with mainstream courses for balanced learning and inclusion.
The Intermediate Support path includes one additional ELL class alongside regular subjects, allowing students to strengthen fluency, confidence, and academic progress. Language growth is measured twice a year, and instruction is adapted to meet each learner’s evolving proficiency level.
Students in the language support program are fully immersed in school life. They participate in clubs, athletics, after-school activities, and specialized programs such as Speech and Debate. A dedicated support team ensures that each learner’s transition is smooth and their achievements are recognized.
The results are clear - international students enrich Fairmont’s community with new perspectives, inspire curiosity, and contribute to a culture of creativity and innovation.
We believe that for a student to achieve academic excellence, their emotional and social foundation must be secure. Being part of the ISP network allows us to implement a sophisticated, data-informed approach to Social-Emotional Learning - SEL while maintaining the heart and soul of a close-knit campus.
