Students aged 5 to 10 enter our Elementary School in Santa Ana eager to explore, create, and grow. Each day, they engage with a rich curriculum across core and specialist subjects, including STEAM projects.

At our American Elementary School, children build foundational math skills using Envision Math 2.0, IXL, Big Ideas Math, and Xtra Math, exploring concepts, solving problems in multiple ways, and deepening understanding.

In Grade 2, children focus on multiplication, division, and arithmetic fact memorization, applying math across subjects with IXL and Big Ideas Math. Children in Grade 3 master math facts and advance to geometry, fractions, decimals, and integers while practicing collaborative problem-solving.

By Grades 4 and 5, children engage in honors-level or pre-algebra content, work in skill-based groups, manage their workload, and use technology to tackle complex problems and strengthen critical thinking.

By Grade 4, children dive into California history, visiting Mission San Juan Capistrano and Sacramento, and participating in events including Walk Through California. In Grade 5, American history comes alive through hands-on experiences, including Walk Through the Revolutionary War and a three-day trip to Catalina Island.

At our Elementary school in Santa Ana, California, students engage in hands-on discovery in the SmartLab, exploring, creating, and collaborating each day. Early learners follow the SmartLab Learning Process - Explore, Plan, Do, Reflect, Share - tackling real-world challenges through storytelling, drawing, and teamwork.
 
As they advance, students lead their own projects in the Spark Program, setting goals, solving problems, and tracking growth through self-assessments, peer feedback, and teacher input.

Battle of the Books

Learners in Grades 4 and 5 participate in Battle of the Books, an engaging literary competition in which they read 17 selected titles and collaborate in teams to answer questions alongside students from local schools.
