Families, we’re cranking the amps to 11 because this week rocked—and the crowd was on its feet from start to finish.

Message from our Head of School

Dear Fairmont Families,

Families, we’re cranking the amps to 11 because this week rocked—and the crowd was on its feet from start to finish.

Our Flag Salute may have been rained out, but not even a little drizzle can stop this tour. The show has officially been postponed to next week, and we’re coming back bigger and louder than ever.

We turned the spotlight on two of our very own rockstars this week with a huge announcement: Mrs. Jessica Winslow, our phenomenal 2nd grade teacher, and Mr. Leigh Nguyen, our middle school history teacher, were both recognized as finalists for Parenting OC’s Teacher of the Year! This is no small encore—this recognition celebrates their passion, dedication, and the unforgettable impact they make on our students every single day. We couldn’t be prouder to see their talent shining on such a big stage.

Thursday brought the house down with our second Spirit Assembly, featuring the epic showdown: “Donut Stop Eating the Whole Notes.” Teachers and middle school students went head-to-head, battling it out for those valuable spirit points. The competition was fierce, the laughs were loud, and the school spirit was absolutely on fire. At the end of the elementary spirit assembly, our second Mic Drone Drop swooped in and Micah in 4th grade snagged the win like a true rock legend. The suspense? Electric. The victory? Chart-topping.

And tonight? OPEN HOUSE takes the stage! Our teachers, students, and staff have been working backstage all week—setting the lights, tuning the instruments, and dressing the campus for a truly spectacular event. We are beyond excited to welcome you and can’t wait to see everyone rocking the halls tonight!

As we drop the final chord, we wish all our families a fantastic four-day weekend as we celebrate President’s Day. Rest up, enjoy the extra time together, and we’ll see everyone back on campus refreshed and ready to rock again next week.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jennifer Maan
