Performing and visual arts program

At Fairmont Private School in Anaheim Hills, our performing and visual arts programs foster confidence, discipline, and creative expression through joyful, structured experiences from Preschool to Grade 8.

Guided by educators with professional arts experience, students explore music, dance, drama, musical theatre, and visual arts, learning to rehearse, revise, and collaborate effectively. In dedicated studios and performance spaces, they contribute meaningfully to ensembles on stage and create thoughtful artwork they are proud to share.

  • Grades 3 – 5 (Alternate Pathway): Students receive advanced vocal and instrumental training, including two-part harmonies, musicals, and multiple instruments.
  • Grades 6 – 8: Students use their musical skills to explore a wider musical world, including music history and music composition

Drama & Musical Theater

From Grade 2 onward, students explore the fundamentals of theatre and musical theatre through a blend of music, dance, and dramatic expression. They build confidence as they experiment with character, voice, and movement, developing collaboration, creativity, and clear communication.

Through classwork, rehearsals, and productions such as the annual Spring Musical, students learn what it means to be part of an ensemble - showing responsibility, resilience, and pride in their performance on stage and in everyday life.

Visual Arts

Students grow as confident visual artists from Preschool through Grade 8. They explore line, shape, color, texture, and space through hands-on projects in drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, and mixed media.

In our new bespoke art studio and kiln-equipped ceramics space, students experiment, refine technique, and move from guided exploration to independent, sophisticated work. Along the way, they build patience, problem-solving skills, and resilience - and their pieces regularly stand out in countywide juried shows and festivals.

Performing beyond the campus

Performing beyond the campus

AHC students proudly share their talents beyond the school campus, performing at senior homes, local festivals, and large venues such as Angels games. These real-world opportunities help them see performance as more than applause - it becomes a way to connect with others, serve the community, and communicate with confidence and purpose.

Award-winning student artists

AHC artists are regularly recognized beyond campus. Student work is consistently submitted to OCArts4All, the Orange County Department of Education’s countywide juried exhibition, and our students are frequent finalists and award winners in the Junior Division of the Laguna Beach Art Festival. These achievements highlight not only their talent, but a visual arts program that emphasizes process, persistence, and pride in craftsmanship.
