Starting in Grade 3, students also enjoy hands-on field trips that spark curiosity and build teamwork. Grade 3 visits the San Diego Zoo, Grade 4 explores California’s history and culture in the Bay Area and Gold Country, and Grade 5 embarks on an eco-adventure to Catalina Island, discovering marine ecosystems and tackling outdoor challenges.
STEAM integration
At our Elementary School in Anaheim, students experience STEAM as part of everyday learning. In K–2, they build with Lego to test strength and balance, try simple coding on tablets or robots, and join guided science investigations in our maker labs.
By Grades 3–5, students navigate through bridge-building and egg-drop engineering challenges, use Lego Robotics and STEAM Lab to design and test solutions, and share their work through short presentations where they take on roles such as a designer, builder, coder, or presenter.
Robotics and digital learning
Elementary students build and program LEGO-based robots for classroom competitions. With 1:1 iPad or MacBook access, they use Apple tools like Keynote, Pages, and iMovie to present ideas, create digital stories, and strengthen public speaking and digital literacy - all while growing confidence and engineering skills every day.
