Yes. AHC is a welcoming, inclusive community where students are known as individuals and supported at every stage of development - from Preschool through Grade 8. We intentionally cultivate a culture rooted in respect, curiosity, and kindness, helping students learn how to collaborate, listen, and form healthy relationships. Teachers actively support social growth, partner closely with families, and ensure students feel confident, challenged, and connected as they grow.
At AHC, challenge and well-being are deeply connected. At our private school in Anaheim, California, students are held to clear academic and behavioral expectations while being supported with strong relationships, consistent feedback, and explicit skill-building. Social-emotional learning is woven into daily classroom practice and Middle School programming, helping students develop organization, resilience, self-advocacy, and healthy coping strategies. When challenges arise, we respond early and collaboratively, focusing on growth rather than pressure.
Social growth is intentionally taught and scaffolded from Preschool through Grade 8. Younger students learn sharing, empathy, and communication through guided practice, while older students develop conflict resolution, perspective-taking, and reflection skills. Teachers model respectful communication, intervene early, and support students in repairing relationships and learning from mistakes. Families are engaged as partners throughout. By the time students leave AHC, they have the confidence and social intelligence needed to thrive in school - and beyond.
