Academic Learning Assistance (ALA)

Academic Learning Assistance (ALA) was designed to empower, encourage, and enhance student achievement and success. At Fairmont, we welcome and value all learners and provide them with the motivation and support needed to rise to any challenge and excel.

The Foundations program values all learners, provides confidence than competence, is based on neuroscientific research and cognitive exercises, and allows students to achieve academic success. Fairmont believes in and supports research-based learning programs, strategies, and methodologies.

Home Education Program

The Home Education Program is near and dear to our Director of Education’s heart. With personal and professional experience in homeschooling, she is committed to ensuring this programs’ successful path. Fairmont's Home Education Program supports, assists, guides, and helps hold accountable families who have chosen to educate their children at home.

ASL (American Sign Language)

Fairmont recognizes the need to include ASL in the school curriculum for several reasons. It is the fourth most studied modern/foreign language at colleges and universities, it enriches and enhances cognitive processes including higher-level thinking, improved listening skills, better problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and greater academic achievement. It also promotes cultural awareness and develops communicative competence and literacy.
