A Look at Fairmont Private Schools’ Parent Association

If you’re a parent at Fairmont Private Schools, you’re part of our fantastic Parent Association. The Fairmont Parent Association (FPA) is made up of parents from all of our campuses with the goal to promote the general welfare of Fairmont Private Schools and to contribute to the quality of education, student life, and spirit of the Fairmont community. Each group of campus parents elects a yearly board to facilitate the FPA’s events. The board, along with other dedicated and generous parents, throws fundraisers, creates community service opportunities, and hosts Fairmont community events throughout the year to benefit our students.

This year alone, the FPA has thrown New Student Orientation days, Family Movie nights, Room Parent Orientation meetings, Fall Festival, Halloween Haunt, Thanksgiving Feast, Winter Wonderland, Valentine Grams sales, Color Runs, and the list goes on and on and on! These events foster community spirit, teach students how to give back, and raise extra money for our classrooms and playgrounds.

Thanks to their successful fundraisers, the FPA has made numerous contributions to our Fairmont campuses, including science lab equipment, library books, Accelerated Math software, classroom iPads, musical instruments, playground equipment, and more! Most recently, the FPA has supported Fairmont Private Schools’ Fairmont Fit program, raising money for the program’s launch. The FPA also uses proceeds for spirit and community building events, including the Annual Teacher and Staff Appreciation Event.

The FPA’s top project at the moment is their third annual joint fundraiser on April 22 in Newport Beach. The event brings all four campuses together for the year’s largest FPA event! The night’s theme, “Havana Dreams,” will include Cuban cuisine, a show, live music, dancing, and casino gaming tables. The night will also feature a silent auction of themed baskets and other donations from our Fairmont community. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit Fairmont Private Schools’ curriculum, enriching the academic journey of our students.

This is the FPA’s third annual joint event. Previous events included a golf tournament and a casino night at the Villa Restaurant in Orange. The night featured stand out “actors” playing the parts of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin to bring their casino theme to life.

This year’s event is looking to be just as festive, bringing “Havana Dreams” here to Orange County for a night of splendor. The fundraiser starts at 5:00 pm on April 22 at The Duke Hotel (formerly The Fairmont) in Newport Beach at 4500 MacArthur Blvd. Tickets are available for purchase online now!
