Fairmont Private School Students Win at 2017 Imaginology Art Competition

This past weekend, the Orange County Fair hosted the 2017 Imaginology Art Competition where three Fairmont Private School students won first place awards, two from the Historic Anaheim Campus and one from the Anaheim Hills Campus.

Ava F., a 3rd grader from the Historic Anaheim Campus, won her division in the “Read and Draw” category. Her winning picture was inspired by Harlem Renaissance painter William Johnson. Fellow Historic Anaheim Campus student, Kai H. (6th grade), won his division in the same category for his drawn depiction of an Ancient Greek vase.

Ella D. (7th grade), from the Anaheim Hills campus, took home an award in the “Make it With Clay” category. Her hand-built project depicted a well-proportioned dinner of steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans, glazed in ceramic clay.

The students were honored at an award ceremony on Sunday at the County Fair where they were presented with rosette ribbons and medals. Congratulations, Ava, Kai, Ella, and to all of our participating students!

Update 5/4/2017: Fairmont Prep students, Jessamine M. and Yichuan X., both took home first place blue ribbons for their submissions. See their beautiful work and more on the Fairmont Preparatory Facebook page.
