Fairmont Wins Orange County Business Journal's Family Business Award

Anaheim, CA – Five Orange County family firms were honored at the Eighth Annual Family Owned Business Awards Luncheon presented by the Orange County Business Journal and Cal State Fullerton’s Family Business Council on November 1, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Irvine. Fairmont Private Schools took home the Family Business Award in the Large Business Category.
This is the second year that Fairmont, and the Jackson family, has been nominated for the award.
Winners are selected based on their business success, family involvement, and contributions to their industry and to the Orange County community. This year, 49 Orange County family firms were nominated for awards in five categories, and recipients were selected by a panel of judges comprised of representatives from the sponsoring organizations, as well as the Orange County Business Journal and Cal State Fullerton.
Family members Chad Jackson, David M. Jackson, Darcy Jackson Tanner and Russell Tanner as well as Fairmont’s founder Ken Holt accepted the award on behalf of Fairmont and current President David R. Jackson who is currently on a humanitarian mission in Russia with his wife
“This is a great honor for Fairmont and our family,” said Fairmont Director of Operations, Chad Jackson. “We are fortunate to be in a business that has education at its core, and it means so much to our family to be in a position to have such a positive impact on the lives of children in our Orange County communities. We have a close-knit family and hundreds of loyal and dedicated teachers and staff members helping to make Fairmont successful—and this award acknowledges our joint passion and commitment.”
