Time Flies When You're Having Fun
We all know the old adage, "time flies when you’re having fun." It’s hard to believe I recently celebrated my 30th year with Fairmont! Where have the years gone? I must be having fun! I am continually amazed by the caliber of students entering the Fairmont family and honored to have played a role in their lives.
Over the years, I have met many bright, talented, curious children and have seen them grow into mature, confident men and women prepared for success in school and in life. Nothing is more satisfying than when I sit down with Fairmont alumni and hear stories about how they have gone on to excel in top universities and become leaders in their chosen professions. To see Fairmont students leading the charge for creating a better community, state and nation is a dream come true for me.
Fairmont has been around since 1953 when my stepfather, Ken Holt, founded the school. Back then, we used chalk boards. Today, it’s interactive Smart Boards. Times have certainly changed. While we have grown and changed over the years, Fairmont has never lost sight of our focus. My dream continues to be to give all of our students the greatest education possible and with that the self worth to know they can use that education to realize their dreams. Even in the midst of uncertain times, we remain as committed as ever to provide children with an unforgettable, life-changing education.
