Anaheim, Calif., May 1, 2009 - Star of Disney’s High School
Musical, Corbin Bleu, made an appearance at Fairmont Private School’s Anaheim
Hills campus during an assembly on Friday, May 1. He shared his passion
for music and talked to students about the importance of music education.
Fairmont provides music instruction as part of its regular curriculum and sees the educational benefits of offering exposure to the performing arts at an early age. With many schools cutting their music programs, Fairmont is fortunate to have leadership and parents who believe this is a vital part of our program. The schools’ parent association is dedicating funds from the annual student Fun Run to help purchase a new set of African drums and other instruments for the music program. The assembly on Friday is designed to kick-off the fundraiser and get students excited about the upcoming Fun Run on May 8. |
