"Fairmont definitely makes being a well rounded student possible," according to Citron alumnus Greg Okawachi. Yes, preschool at Citron taught Greg his alphabet and how to color in the lines, but the Fairmont culture and educational philosophy also inspired his dedication to academics and his passion for art and sports. He went on to play baseball and soccer all four years of high school and was voted Most Valuable Player on the soccer team his junior and senior years, all while maintaining a high GPA and involvement in other clubs and organizations. This well-rounded resume landed Greg an acceptance to the University of California, San Diego where he is currently a freshman and on his way to achieving his career goal of becoming a pediatric dentist.

At UCSD, Greg is a school Ambassador and a member of the Pre-Dental Program. He is also continuing to play soccer on his housing building’s intramural soccer team. When not studying, he spends his time surfing, reading, drawing and watching movies. Additionally, Greg enjoys giving back to the community through volunteer work, and he was kind enough to devote his Eagle Project to our Citron Campus by building us a new library!
